Good to know before you call.

How often should smoke alarms be replaced?

Smoke alarms have a limited life, typically around 10 years. Check the date printed on the back of the alarm and replace any that have expired.

Do I need an electrician to install smoke alarms?

Hardwired (mains-powered) alarms must be installed by a licensed electrician. Battery-powered alarms can be fitted by anyone, but we're happy to do it.

What's the difference between hardwired and battery alarms?

Hardwired alarms run off your home's power, usually with a backup battery. Battery alarms run on a battery only and need regular battery changes.

Do you test alarms in rental properties?

Yes. We test and replace alarms for landlords and property managers across Sydney.

Can alarms be interconnected?

Yes. Interconnected alarms sound together, so everyone in the home hears a warning no matter where the alarm is triggered.
