Neff has a loyal following among keen home cooks, and its induction cooktops are a natural partner for its ovens. We take care of the electrical installation from the switchboard to the terminal block.

Neff is a German brand, part of the same group as Bosch and Siemens, and it's aimed squarely at people who cook a lot. Some of its induction cooktops use a removable magnetic control knob (TwistPad), and flexible zones are common across the range.
Those features are about cooking, not wiring. Electrically, a Neff induction cooktop is a fixed, high-current appliance that needs a dedicated circuit, sized from the rating in the installation instructions, with proper protection and a safe connection point. Often a Neff cooktop arrives with a Neff oven, and planning both supplies together is the efficient way to do it.
Blue Link Electrical is a licensed electrician based in Hurlstone Park. We install Neff appliances that you've bought, across the Inner West and Sydney. We're not a Neff dealer or service agent, so any appliance fault is a matter for Neff's service network.
Neff's induction models come in a range of widths and layouts. Wider cooktops with flexible zones typically carry a higher total rating, so the manual for your exact model is the reference for the circuit. Some models can also connect to the Home Connect app; that's a Wi-Fi setup, not an electrical one.
If a Neff oven is going under the cooktop, the installation instructions for both appliances say whether that arrangement is approved and what gaps are needed for airflow. Ovens and induction cooktops are both big loads, and when they run together at dinner time, an older Inner West supply can feel it. We check the switchboard and the main supply before we commit to a layout.
Its own circuit and breaker, sized to the Neff rating and the cable length.
Typically a second circuit for the oven, as specified in the oven's manual.
We check the cooktop and oven alongside air conditioning, hot water and any EV charger.
RCD protection on new circuits, normally as RCBOs on a modern board.
Benchtop cut-outs, oven housings and ventilation are the cabinetmaker's or kitchen installer's job.
Replacing a gas cooktop? A licensed gasfitter must cap the gas first.
We confirm what each appliance needs from its manual and check the switchboard. Where the board is old or full, we'll quote a switchboard upgrade so the kitchen circuits have proper RCBO protection.
Cables are run from the board to the cooktop and oven positions, ideally at rough-in before cabinets are installed. On replacements, we work around existing joinery and keep the job tidy.
With the benchtop ready, we connect the Neff cooktop to its terminal block as the manual specifies and confirm each zone, including flexible areas, heats correctly. The oven is connected and checked separately.
Every circuit is tested to AS/NZS 3000 and you receive a NSW Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work.
The supply or board may be at its limit. We review the load and the board.
A connection or wiring fault, moisture, or the appliance. See induction cooktop tripping the safety switch.
Older kitchens sometimes share a circuit that isn't sized for modern induction. Separating them is the fix.
That's an appliance matter for Neff service, not a wiring issue.
They're separate brands in the same group. From an electrical point of view, the approach is the same: read the manual and size the circuit to the cooktop's rating.
Some manufacturers allow it for certain combinations, but separate circuits are more common with induction. We go by the manuals and your switchboard.
Induction-compatible, magnetic cookware. Cast iron and most induction-rated stainless steel work well.
