ASKO ovens are popular in apartments and compact kitchens, often installed as a matched set with an ASKO cooktop. We make sure the circuits suit the combined load and that everything is connected and tested properly.

ASKO is a Scandinavian appliance brand, originally Swedish, with a clean, minimal design. Its built-in range includes standard and pyrolytic ovens, steam and combination steam ovens, and compact appliances designed to stack, often finished to match each other across the kitchen.
In apartments, the electrical side has its own constraints. Each unit has its own distribution board, and the capacity to the unit is set by the building's design. Swapping a gas cooktop for induction, or adding a second oven, can push that limit. We check the unit's board and supply arrangement before recommending circuits.
Blue Link Electrical is a licensed electrician based in Hurlstone Park (NSW Contractor Licence 332956C), installing across the Inner West and Sydney. We wire ASKO appliances you've bought; we don't sell them and aren't an ASKO service agent. Product faults go to the manufacturer's service network.
A full-size oven paired with a compact steam or combination oven above it is a common ASKO setup. That's two appliances in one column, each with its own rating and connection requirements. Some are supplied with a plug, others need hard-wiring; the installation manual for each model says which.
If you're installing an ASKO induction cooktop at the same time, the oven and cooktop together may suit one well-sized cooking circuit or may need separate circuits. In an apartment that decision also depends on how much spare capacity the unit's supply has. Steam ovens with a water tank don't need plumbing; if a model you choose does, that part is a plumber's.
In strata units we look at the unit board and incoming capacity before adding big kitchen loads.
Planned together for oven, compact oven and cooktop, according to their combined ratings.
Switches reachable with appliances installed, typically in the adjacent cupboard.
Kitchen circuits on safety switches, ideally individual RCBOs. See RCD vs RCBO.
Some buildings require approval for electrical changes affecting common property. Check with your strata manager.
1. Assess. We check the ASKO manuals and rating plates, your switchboard and the supply, and plan the circuits.
2. Prepare the supply. We install or upgrade circuits, fit protection and place isolating switches in accessible positions.
3. Connect. Each appliance is connected to the manufacturer's instructions and fixed into the cabinetry with leads routed clear of heat.
4. Test and certify. We test to AS/NZS 3000, run each appliance, and issue a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work where new wiring is installed.
Oven, induction cooktop and air conditioning together can exceed what the unit's circuit or supply can handle. Load planning or circuit changes help.
Can be wiring, moisture or appliance fault. See oven tripping the safety switch.
Doubling up oven and compact oven on one outlet with an adaptor isn't safe. Each needs a proper connection.
With supply confirmed, it's an internal fault for the manufacturer.
Usually, but we check the unit's switchboard and supply capacity first, and you may need strata approval for some work.
Many use a water tank. Check the manual for your model; any plumbing is done by a plumber.
Sometimes, if it's sized for both. We work it out from their ratings.
