Sitting roughly 20 km south-west of the city centre, Yagoona is part of the City of Canterbury-Bankstown area. For public transport there's Yagoona station. Switchboards first
In Yagoona's 1950s and 60s houses, the original cable is often in reasonable shape, but the board is behind the times: one safety switch at best and no spare poles. Every new circuit is tested for insulation resistance and RCD trip time, and the paperwork is lodged with NSW Fair Trading. Old fuse wire is often replaced with the wrong rating over the years, which defeats the point of the fuse.
