Electrolux hoods range from integrated and undermount models to chimney and island canopies, and some can be paired with an Electrolux cooktop. We take care of the power, isolation and testing.

Electrolux is a Swedish-founded brand that sells a wide range of kitchen appliances in Australia, including rangehoods in most common styles. They're often chosen alongside an Electrolux oven and cooktop to keep the kitchen consistent.
A feature worth knowing about is Hob2Hood, available on compatible Electrolux hoods and cooktops, which lets the cooktop switch on and adjust the hood automatically. It works through a wireless signal between the two appliances, so it doesn't normally need extra cabling. What it does need is both appliances installed in a position where they can communicate, as set out in the manuals.
Blue Link Electrical is a licensed electrician based in Hurlstone Park (NSW Contractor Licence 332956C), installing rangehoods across the Inner West and Sydney. We don't sell Electrolux products and aren't affiliated with the brand; any internal fault is a warranty matter for Electrolux.
For integrated and undermount hoods, the power point sits in the cupboard above, and the cupboard's internal shelf or base is often cut to suit the hood. We set the outlet height so it clears that cut-out. For canopy and island hoods, the outlet hides behind the chimney cover, and for island hoods the cable comes down from the ceiling inside the chimney.
If you're using Hob2Hood or a similar automatic feature, check the manual for any limits on mounting height or line of sight between the cooktop and hood. Those figures affect where the hood can sit, which in turn affects where we put the outlet.
For integrated hoods, placed high enough in the cupboard to clear the hood body and duct collar.
For canopy and island hoods, the outlet or connection sits within the area the chimney cover hides.
New and altered circuits need RCD protection. See safety switch installation.
Your builder or ventilation installer runs the duct. We plan around it.
An electric or induction cooktop needs its own circuit, separate from the hood's supply.
1. Review the manuals. We read the hood and cooktop manuals together, so mounting height, Hob2Hood requirements and the outlet position all agree.
2. Power in place. We fit or relocate the outlet, or provide a hard-wired connection with isolation where the manual requires it, and confirm RCD protection.
3. Connect and test. After the hood is mounted and ducted, we connect it, check every speed and the lights, and test the circuit to AS/NZS 3000. New wiring gets a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work.
4. Pairing check. If your appliances support Hob2Hood, we confirm both have power so you can complete pairing per the manual. A finished example: our Dulwich Hill rangehood installation.
Usually a pairing or settings issue, or the hood sitting outside the recommended position. Not typically a wiring fault.
We test the circuit and outlet to rule out the house wiring; if they're fine, it's an appliance fault for Electrolux.
Could be a loose plug, an outlet worn by heat, or the hood's own LED driver. We check the supply first.
Start at the switchboard. See rangehood not working for safe checks.
Normally no. It's a wireless link between compatible appliances. Check your manuals for setup and positioning.
Often yes, if the outlet is in the right place, in good condition and RCD protected.
Yes, the electrical side. An electric or induction cooktop needs its own circuit.
No, that's a separate trade. We look after power and connection.
