Neff ovens are best known for the door that slides away under the oven, which works best at a comfortable height in a wall cabinet. Where the oven goes affects where the power goes, so we plan both together.

Neff is a German brand within the same group as Bosch and Siemens. Its signature is the Slide&Hide door, which tucks under the oven cavity when open, and its CircoTherm fan system. Neff also makes steam ovens, compact ovens and warming drawers designed to line up with its main ovens.
Because the sliding door makes reaching into the oven easier at waist height, many Neff buyers put the oven in a tall wall cabinet rather than under the cooktop. That changes the cable route and where the isolating switch can sensibly go, and it often separates the oven and cooktop onto different circuits instead of one shared cooking circuit.
Blue Link Electrical is a licensed electrician based in Hurlstone Park (NSW Contractor Licence 332956C). We install Neff ovens across the Inner West and Sydney. We install the appliance you've bought; we don't sell Neff products and aren't their service agent, so internal repairs go to the manufacturer.
Under the bench, the oven sits directly below the cooktop. That's convenient for wiring because both appliances are close together and can sometimes share a cooking circuit sized for the combined load. The isolation is usually placed in a neighbouring drawer or cupboard so you're not reaching over the cooktop to use it.
In a wall tower, the oven is often a metre or more away from the cooktop, sometimes on a different wall. It makes sense to give it its own supply, and if a compact oven or warming drawer is going in the same tower, those need planning too. The Neff installation manual tells you whether each appliance is supplied with a plug or needs hard-wiring, along with the position for the connection inside the cabinet.
The outlet or connection point sits where the manual shows inside the tower, so the oven slides in without pinching the lead.
Decided by distance and the combined rating of oven and cooktop. Induction plus a large oven usually means two circuits.
A switch you can reach without leaning over hot surfaces or pulling the oven from its cabinet.
Each new circuit needs room and protection at the switchboard; older fuse boards may need an upgrade.
All kitchen appliance circuits should be safety-switch protected.
1. Agree the layout. We look at where the oven, cooktop and any extra appliances will sit, then plan circuits and isolation to suit, before cabinetry is made where possible.
2. Rough-in. Cables run to each appliance position, with the isolating switches placed in accessible spots and circuits labelled at the board.
3. Fit-off. We connect the oven once the cabinetry is installed, guide the lead as it slides in, and secure it into the cabinet as Neff's instructions describe.
4. Test and certify. Circuits are tested to AS/NZS 3000 and the oven is run up. A Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work is issued where new wiring is installed.
Common when an old outlet is reused. Moving the switch into the next cupboard keeps it accessible for servicing.
A shared circuit not sized for both. Splitting them onto separate circuits fixes it.
Can be the wiring or an element. We test the circuit first. See oven tripping the safety switch.
Door mechanism and electronics are appliance issues for the manufacturer's service network, not house wiring.
It depends on the model. Some are supplied with a plug, others need hard-wiring on a dedicated circuit. The manual and rating plate tell you.
Sometimes, if the circuit is sized for both. When the oven is in a separate wall tower, its own circuit is usually simpler.
Somewhere you can reach with the oven installed, typically an adjacent cupboard or wall, and not above or behind the cooktop.
Yes. We install and wire it; product warranty and repairs are with the manufacturer.
