A new home is the one time every cable can go exactly where you want it. We work with owner-builders and builders on new houses, knock-down rebuilds and duplexes, mostly in the Inner West and across Sydney, from the electrical plan through rough-in, fit-off and final testing.

The cheapest changes are on paper. We go through the plans room by room: lighting layout and switching, power point positions, the switchboard location and size, data and TV points, and allowance for later additions such as an EV charger or air conditioning. Thinking about furniture placement now avoids power points behind beds and switches behind doors.
A typical new build follows these stages:
Coordinating the temporary builder's supply; level 1 and 2 work arranged through accredited partners.
Cables, boxes and conduits run while the frame is open, checked against the plan.
Switches, power points, lights, smoke alarms and appliances connected after plastering.
Full testing to AS/NZS 3000 and a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work.
New builds in the Inner West are often on narrow lots, next to terraces, with limited access and close neighbours. We plan deliveries and cable routes around that, coordinate with the builder's program, and allow for the network connection, which in most of the Inner West is on Ausgrid. Interconnected smoke alarms are required in new homes, and we install them to the building plans.
As early as the plans stage. Lighting, power and switchboard decisions are easiest and cheapest before the frame goes up.
