Granville 2142 sits just south of Parramatta, split between the City of Parramatta and Cumberland Council. It is one of the older parts of western Sydney, with federation and interwar weatherboard and brick cottages, post-war houses, walk-up flats, newer unit blocks along the rail corridor, and a strip of shops and light industry.
