Fujitsu split and ducted systems are widely installed across Sydney. Each one needs a correctly sized power supply and a way to isolate it at the outdoor unit. As licensed electricians, that's our part of the job.
Ring 0421 772 661 for a written quote. Tell us the Fujitsu model and where the outdoor unit will sit.
Getting a Fujitsu air conditioner running involves two licensed trades. The refrigeration technician installs the indoor and outdoor units and does everything involving refrigerant gas. The electrician runs the supply, fits the isolator and protection, and certifies the electrical work.
If your air conditioning company doesn't bring its own electrician, or you'd rather use a local one, we can slot in around their schedule. Often we do the cable run beforehand, then return to terminate once the units are on the wall.
Blue Link Electrical is a licensed electrician based in Hurlstone Park (licence 332956C), covering the Inner West and Sydney. We're used to older homes where getting a cable from the switchboard to the back of the house takes some planning.
Fujitsu's residential range in Australia includes wall-mounted splits in a spread of sizes, floor consoles, and ducted systems. Capacity drives the electrical load, so a living-room split and a ducted system for a full house can need quite different circuits, and some of the bigger units may call for a three-phase supply.
We size everything from the specific unit's installation manual: the supply it requires, the protective device it recommends and whether power connects at the outdoor or indoor unit. Then we work out the cable size for your actual run length. Choosing the unit is between you and your air conditioning installer; we make sure your house can power it.
Fixed air conditioners generally get their own circuit from the switchboard. More detail in our dedicated circuit guide.
Mounted next to the outdoor unit, rated for outdoor exposure, with cable entries sealed against water.
Safety switch (RCD) protection and a breaker rated to the manual, usually combined as an RCBO.
Space on the board for a new device, and enough headroom in the main supply for the extra load.
Through the roof, under the floor or in conduit on the wall, chosen for your building and kept tidy.
1. Survey. We confirm the Fujitsu model, check the manual's supply requirements and look over your switchboard and the cable route.
2. Prepare the circuit. We install the cable and the new breaker or RCBO, ready for the units to go in.
3. Terminate. With the units mounted, we fit the outdoor isolator and connect the supply. The refrigeration technician completes the pipework and commissions the system.
4. Test and certify. Tested to AS/NZS 3000, with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work issued for the circuit.
We test insulation, connections and the protective device. If the electrical side is sound, the fault is internal and goes to Fujitsu's service network.
A sun-damaged isolator lets water in, leading to trips in wet weather. See safety switch keeps tripping.
Can point to a long or undersized circuit, a loose connection, or a supply that's stretched. Worth having checked.
A large load on an old board can mean an upgrade. We'll tell you up front if that's needed.
No. Refrigerant work requires an ARC licence and is done by your refrigeration technician. We handle only the electrical connection.
Not necessarily. Many residential ducted units run on single-phase. The installation manual for your model states what it needs.
For a typical split with a simple cable route, it's usually done within a visit. Long or awkward runs, or a switchboard upgrade, take longer.
Yes. If your existing Fujitsu is fine but the isolator is weathered, we can replace it on its own.
