Texecom is a British alarm manufacturer whose panels and detectors are used in homes and businesses in Australia. We install Texecom systems, including hybrid setups mixing wired and wireless devices, across Sydney.

Texecom is well regarded for its detectors as well as its control panels, and many of its panels can run wired zones and wireless devices side by side. That makes it a flexible option for older Sydney houses where some rooms are easy to cable and others aren't.
A Texecom system suits people who want a conventional, installer-programmed alarm with good detector choice, and who may want app access and remote notifications added through a network connection. It also suits small offices and shops where reliable wired detection is the priority.
We're Blue Link Electrical, based in Hurlstone Park. We hold NSW Security Licence S00014414, which covers alarm installation, and Electrical Contractor Licence 332956C, and we work across the Inner West and greater Sydney.
Texecom panels differ in how many zones and areas they support and in their communication options. A small panel may suit a unit or cottage, while a larger home or premises with several separately armed areas needs more capacity. Wireless devices generally need a compatible receiver or expander, so confirm that before buying wireless detectors.
Detector choice matters as much as the panel. Rooms with skylights, heaters, pets or high ceilings each benefit from a detector suited to that environment. We'll suggest types for each space instead of fitting the same unit in every room.
The panel takes mains power and holds a backup battery in its enclosure, so it needs a spot with power nearby and room for servicing.
Wired detectors and keypads cable back to the panel or a nearby expander. In terraces we often run along the ceiling space and drop down internal walls.
Needed if you want wireless devices on a hybrid panel. Its position sets the wireless coverage.
Pet-tolerant, dual technology or ceiling-mounted detectors are chosen per room to keep false alarms down.
App access needs a communicator and a network connection at the panel. A cabled data point is best.
Ideally the panel isn't sharing a power point that gets unplugged for the vacuum. A dedicated outlet avoids that.
1. Design. We decide panel, expander, keypad and siren positions and choose detector types room by room. You receive a written quote.
2. Cable and mount. Cabling goes through ceilings and walls, the panel and power supply are installed and the backup battery connected. Wireless devices are added where cabling isn't sensible.
3. Program. Zones, areas, entry and exit routes, part-arm modes and user codes are set, and any app or remote connection is configured.
4. Test. Every detector is walk-tested, tamper circuits checked, the siren sounded and battery backup confirmed. We hand over with a run-through for the whole household. Our alarm buyer's guide has more detail.
A cover not fully closed, a damaged cable or a siren lid disturbed. Tamper faults should be found, not bypassed.
Usually a battery or range issue. We check signal strength at the device and replace or move it.
Heat sources, draughts, insects or pets. A different detector type or position is the usual fix.
Check for a tripped breaker first. See alarm panel no power.
Many can, with a compatible wireless receiver or expander. We'll confirm compatibility for the panel you have or plan to buy.
Yes, wired Texecom detection works well in small commercial premises. We'll size the panel to the number of zones and areas you need.
With the right communicator and a network connection, remote access is possible. Check what your panel supports.
