ThreeSixty is an Australian fan brand with a range of DC and AC fans, many with remote control and LED lights. We install them across the Inner West and Sydney.

Most people buying a ThreeSixty fan want something modern and quiet for a bedroom or living area. Whatever the model, the electrician's job comes down to three things: a fixing that will never work loose, a supply and control arrangement that suits the motor, and a test that shows it all runs as it should.
We often install fans in older homes where the ceiling is the challenge. Lath and plaster, pressed metal, high ceilings and ornate roses all affect where and how the bracket can be fixed. In newer homes and extensions the question is more often roof-space access and the route for a new cable.
Blue Link Electrical is a licensed electrician based in Hurlstone Park (NSW Contractor Licence 332956C). We install ThreeSixty fans that you've bought, and we wire them to the manufacturer's instructions. We're not connected to the brand; product warranty is through ThreeSixty or your retailer. You can see a recent ceiling fan installation in Croydon Park on our projects page.
A DC fan with a remote is the simplest to live with in a bedroom: no reaching for the wall, many speeds, and usually a reverse function for winter. Some people still prefer a wall control, so check whether your model has a compatible one. Either way, keeping a switch that can turn the fan off completely is useful for servicing and if the remote is lost.
If the fan has an integrated LED, its brightness and colour options are set by the fan's own electronics, so it shouldn't be fed through a separate dimmer. For a covered outdoor area, choose a model rated for outdoor or damp locations. In rooms with high ceilings, check which rod lengths suit your model so the blades end up at a sensible height.
A joist or noggin above the ceiling. Older ceilings need care to reach structure without damage.
A supply arranged as the manual specifies, with a switch that can isolate the fan.
The supplied remote or a wall control the manufacturer lists for your model.
We check the lighting circuit is RCD protected.
Enough clearance from the floor and surrounding furniture, using a longer rod on high ceilings.
1. Survey. We look at the ceiling type, roof space, existing light and switch, and quote in writing.
2. Fix the bracket. Into timber, adding a noggin where the joist isn't in the right place.
3. Connect and assemble. We wire the fan to the manufacturer's instructions, fit the light and pair the remote or wall control.
4. Test. All speeds, reverse and the light are checked, balance confirmed, the circuit tested to AS/NZS 3000, and a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work issued where required.
After battery changes or outages. See ceiling fan remote not working.
Usually a control or supply issue. See ceiling fan humming noise.
A sign the fan isn't fixed to structure. Turn it off and have the fixing checked.
Yes, provided the bracket is fixed through to timber. We take care drilling old plaster to avoid cracking.
It's handy to keep a switch so the fan can be turned off completely. The manual shows how the supply should be arranged.
Many DC fans have a reverse function for winter, operated from the remote. Check your model.
Yes. We check the old fixing and controller, replace what's needed and install the new fan.
