Delta is a power electronics manufacturer whose chargers turn up in homes, workplace car parks and fleet depots. We install Delta AC chargers across the Inner West and Sydney.

Delta Electronics is a Taiwanese company with a long history in power supplies and industrial power equipment. In EV charging it makes both AC chargers, the kind used at homes and workplaces, and DC fast chargers for public and fleet sites. Its AC chargers have a reputation for being solidly built and straightforward, which appeals to businesses that just want chargers to work.
For homeowners, a Delta AC charger is a conventional wall-mounted install. For businesses, Delta's commercial AC units add features such as user authorisation and connection to charging management software, which help when several drivers share chargers or when charging costs are allocated to staff or tenants.
Blue Link Electrical is a licensed electrician based in Hurlstone Park (NSW Contractor Licence 332956C). We're independent of Delta. We assess the supply, install the circuits and chargers, set them up and certify the work. DC fast charger installations are a much larger project and usually involve the network operator, so we focus on AC chargers.
Delta's AC range includes compact chargers suited to homes, such as the AC Mini Plus, and larger commercial models, such as the AC MAX, designed for workplaces and fleets. Versions vary by supply type, cable and connectivity, so read the installation manual for the one you're buying to confirm it matches your supply and to see the protection it requires.
For a fleet or workplace, the first step isn't choosing a model but understanding the site's supply. How many vehicles charge at once, how long they're parked and what else the building runs all affect how many chargers the supply can support and whether load management is needed.
For workplaces and fleets, a review of the main supply and existing loads before chargers are added.
Each charger on its own circuit with cable and protection sized to its rating and run length.
RCD type and breaker rating as Delta specifies and AS/NZS 3000 requires.
Network cabling or reliable wireless for chargers that report to a management platform.
Bollards or careful placement in car parks so vehicles can't strike chargers or cables.
Room on the board for new circuits, or a sub-board in the car park. See our three-phase switchboard job in Ashfield for that kind of work.
Site assessment. For homes, a check of the switchboard and cable route. For businesses, we also look at the main supply, car park layout and how many chargers you'll need in future, so the first stage doesn't block the next.
Installation. We install protection and cabling, any sub-board needed, mount the chargers and connect them to Delta's installation instructions, plus data cabling where required.
Configuration. We set current limits to suit each circuit, connect chargers to the network and enter management platform details you or your provider supply, then test charge.
Testing and compliance. All circuits are tested to AS/NZS 3000 and certified with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work. See our CCEW guide for what that covers.
Network or configuration issues are most common. Check connectivity before suspecting the hardware.
Can point to an overloaded sub-board or supply. Load management or extra capacity is the fix. See EV charger tripping the breaker.
Driven-over or snagged cables are a safety risk. Stop using the charger and have it inspected.
Check protective devices first. See EV charger not working after a power outage.
