Schneider Electric's EVlink chargers come from the same company behind Clipsal, a name most Australian electricians and homeowners already know from switches and switchboards. We install EVlink chargers in homes, apartment car parks and small workplaces across Sydney.

EVlink is Schneider Electric's family of AC chargers. The range covers simple home units through to commercial chargers built for shared car parks, with features like user authentication and network management so a building manager can control who charges and track usage.
Because Schneider is primarily an electrical equipment maker, EVlink chargers tend to appeal to people who want a conservative, well-supported product, and to commercial sites that already run Schneider or Clipsal gear. That said, any properly specified charger can be installed on any brand of switchboard; you don't need matching brands.
Blue Link Electrical is a licensed electrician based in Hurlstone Park (NSW Contractor Licence 332956C). We're not a Schneider partner; we install the charger you choose and handle the circuit, protection, testing and paperwork.
Schneider's lineup has changed over the years and differs between countries, so it's worth checking what's currently sold in Australia. Broadly there are residential models for a single household and professional models, such as the EVlink Pro AC, aimed at businesses and multi-user car parks. Professional models typically support access control and connection to a charging management platform, which matters if residents or staff need to be billed individually.
Single-phase and three-phase versions exist in the range. For a house, single-phase is usually the realistic option. For an apartment building or workplace, the bigger question is how many chargers the building's supply can support at once, and whether load management is needed to share capacity between them.
Each charger gets its own circuit and protection, sized to the charger's current and the run length.
For strata and commercial sites, we assess the main supply before adding chargers so you don't overload it.
Protection selected to suit the charger's built-in fault detection, per Schneider's manual and AS/NZS 3000. Our RCD vs RCBO guide explains the basics.
Commercial models that report to a management platform need reliable network access, by cable or wireless.
Owners corporation approval is usually needed before work starts in a shared car park.
In shared car parks, chargers and cables need protecting from vehicle impact.
For a house, the process is straightforward: we check the switchboard and supply, confirm the EVlink model, quote the cable route, then install the circuit and mount and wire the charger to Schneider's instructions.
For apartment buildings and workplaces we start further back. We look at the building's main switchboard, the available supply and the car park layout, and talk through how many chargers are planned now and later. Our guide to EV charging in NSW strata covers approvals.
Once installed, we set the charger's current limit, connect it to the network where the model requires it, and run a test charge.
Every circuit is tested to AS/NZS 3000 and certified with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work.
On managed chargers, this is often an access card or platform setting rather than an electrical fault.
Can be the wrong protective device, a damaged cable in a car park run, or a fault in the charger or car. See EV charger tripping the breaker.
Adding chargers one by one without a plan can overload a building. Load management or a supply review is the fix.
Check the breakers and RCDs first. See EV charger not working after a power outage.
No. Schneider owns Clipsal, but EVlink chargers can be installed on any compliant switchboard with suitable protection.
Its professional models are designed for multi-user sites with access control. The building's supply and approvals are the bigger factors.
Yes. We assess the supply first and plan circuits and load sharing so everyone can charge without overloading the building.
