Porsche owners tend to care how the garage looks as much as how well the charger works. We install home chargers for the Taycan, Macan Electric and E-Hybrid models with concealed cabling wherever the building allows.

Porsche's fully electric cars are the Taycan and the Macan Electric, and it also sells E-Hybrid plug-in versions of models like the Cayenne and Panamera. In Australia they all use a Type 2 inlet for AC charging, so a quality Type 2 wall charger from any reputable maker will work. Porsche also offers its own charging equipment, and we're happy to install that if it's what you've chosen.
Homes with these cars often have three-phase power, a dedicated garage, and a renovation-quality finish elsewhere. That opens up options: higher-capacity charging where the car supports it, cable routes hidden in walls or ceilings, and a charger placed exactly where it suits the car's port.
Blue Link Electrical is a licensed electrician based in Hurlstone Park (NSW Contractor Licence 332956C). We're an independent electrician, not affiliated with Porsche. We plan, install, test and certify the electrical work.
The Taycan has charging flaps on both front guards, which gives more freedom in where the wall charger goes than many EVs. Check which side your car accepts AC charging on, then we'll position the charger to suit how you park. For the Macan Electric and the E-Hybrids, check your own car's port location, since it differs between models.
Three-phase charging only helps if both your supply and your car's onboard charger support it, and onboard chargers vary between models and option packs. Check your car's onboard charger rating in the owner's manual or the My Porsche app before deciding. The app also lets you schedule charging and set a target level, useful for off-peak tariffs or daytime solar.
We confirm whether your property has single-phase or three-phase supply and how much capacity is available for a charger.
Through walls, ceilings or under the floor where the structure allows, avoiding visible conduit in finished garages.
Space for the circuit and the correct protection. Three-phase chargers need three-phase protection at the board.
Matched to the car's AC port side and your parking habit, at a height that keeps the cable tidy and off the floor.
If the charger has app features, we check Wi-Fi coverage or run a data cable to the garage.
1. Site visit. We check the supply, switchboard and garage, talk through the finish you want, and confirm which charger you'll use.
2. Written quote. The quote sets out the cable route, charger position and any switchboard work, so there are no surprises.
3. Install. We run the cabling, fit the protection, mount and connect the charger to the manufacturer's instructions, and make good where we've had to access walls or ceilings.
4. Test and certify. We test to AS/NZS 3000, confirm the car charges at the expected rate for your supply, and issue a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work.
Often a single-phase supply, a reduced charger current setting, or the car's onboard charger. We check each in turn.
Can be the car's capability or a supply issue. We test each phase at the charger to rule out wiring.
May be the protection type, a wiring fault, or the charger or car. See EV charger tripping the breaker.
Surges can damage electronics. Surge protection at the switchboard reduces the risk.
Yes, if you've bought it. We install and wire the charger to the maker's instructions; product warranty stays with the manufacturer.
Only if your property has three-phase supply and your car's onboard charger can use it. Check the owner's manual and we'll confirm your supply.
Often, yes. It depends on wall construction and access. We'll explain what's achievable at the site visit.
No. We're an independent licensed electrician with no affiliation to Porsche. We do and certify the electrical work.
