Bardwell Park is a small, hilly suburb in the Bayside Council area, edged by the bushland of the Wolli Creek valley. Its streets are lined mostly with interwar and post-war bungalows in face brick, with some later renovations and knock-down rebuilds. Ausgrid manages the local supply.

The usual starting point

In older bungalows, the meter box often holds a fuse board with no RCD protection, sometimes still on a timber panel. That is not only a safety concern; it also limits any renovation. Where the cabling itself is old, rubber-insulated wire becomes brittle and can crack when disturbed. If testing shows that, we recommend a partial or full rewire, usually done room by room through the roof space and subfloor.

Knock-down rebuilds on the same streets need a temporary builder's supply and later the permanent connection, which we can arrange in coordination with your builder and the network.
