Art deco walk-ups in Bondi, Victorian terraces in Paddington, harbourfront homes in Vaucluse and red-brick flats in Randwick and Maroubra: the east packs a lot of building types into a small area, and most of them are older than the wiring rules we work to today.
Blue Link Electrical Services began in 2016 and now brings 10+ years of experience to Eastern Suburbs jobs. We are licensed under NSW licence 332956C, fully insured, and on call 24/7.

Most east-side apartment blocks went up between the 1920s and the 1970s. Units in those buildings were wired for a fridge, a kettle and a few lights, not for induction cooking, split systems and a home office. We see plenty of single-circuit kitchens, ceramic fuses still in the meter room, and sub-mains too small for what owners now plug in. Getting more capacity into a unit usually involves the owners corporation, so we put the scope in writing for the strata manager.
In Paddington and Woollahra terraces, shared walls, cramped roof spaces and heritage controls make new cable routes slow to plan. Along the beachfront, salt air eats into outdoor fittings, balcony lights and exposed meter boxes faster than anywhere inland.
Commercially, the cafes, restaurants and shops along Campbell Parade, Oxford Street and Belmore Road keep us busy with switchboard work, fit-outs and fault calls.
The jobs below make up most of our work east of the city. Each link explains the process and the rules that apply in NSW. Whatever the job, residential or commercial, we cover it across all of Sydney.
Power gone in your unit but the neighbours still have lights? A breaker that trips straight back off, or a socket that feels hot? Ring 0421 772 661. Emergency calls are answered 24/7, and we will tell you over the phone whether it is safe to wait.
If the whole building or block is dark, check Ausgrid's outage map or call them on 13 13 88. For problems inside a unit, we deal with your own board and circuits; anything in the main switchroom needs the strata manager's say-so. Please keep after-hours calls for genuine emergencies; everything else we book during business hours.
Often, yes. We first check the unit board and the sub-main from the meter room. If the supply to the unit has to grow, the owners corporation must approve it, and we can prepare a written scope for them.

Salt spray and moisture are the usual cause near the beach. We replace corroded fittings with sealed, weather-rated ones and check the circuit for damage.
