Sea spray, sandy driveways, bushland at the back fence and a peninsula with only a few roads in and out: the Beaches have their own set of electrical problems. We fix them for households from Manly and Dee Why up to Newport, Avalon and Palm Beach.
We started Blue Link Electrical Services in 2016 and have more than 10 years of experience behind us. Licensed (332956C), fully insured, and reachable 24/7 for emergencies.

Within a few hundred metres of the water, salt gets into everything. Outdoor power points, garden lights, meter box hinges and the screws on exterior fittings corrode years earlier than they would in the west. We fit weather-rated and marine-grade gear on exposed walls, and on older beach houses we often find water inside light fittings that has been tripping the safety switch for months.
Up on the plateau, around Belrose, Davidson and Terrey Hills, the risk is different. Many blocks back onto national park, so bushfire-prone land rules can shape where new external wiring and lights go. Most Beaches homes are houses with off-street parking, which makes them well suited to a garage EV charger, and plenty have pools, granny flats or a workshop that needs its own circuit.
Pick a service to read how we approach it. Not sure what you need? Call and describe the problem; we will tell you honestly. We handle all kinds of electrical work, here and across greater Sydney.
A southerly buster can knock out circuits all along the peninsula. If your safety switch will not reset, a socket is scorched or sparking, or water has got into a light fitting, switch off at the main switch if it is safe to do so and call 0421 772 661, day or night.
When the whole street is out or a wire is down across the road, report it to Ausgrid on 13 13 88 first. We look after the wiring from the meter into your home. After hours, our line is for emergencies only, so non-urgent work is scheduled for a weekday.
Near the coast, moisture and salt get into outdoor fittings and junctions, and a small leakage current is enough to trip a safety switch. We find the faulty fitting and replace it with one rated for the conditions.
Yes. We cover the whole peninsula, including Avalon, Bilgola, Palm Beach, Bayview and Church Point, along with the forest district suburbs.
Yes. We check your switchboard and supply first, then run a dedicated circuit to the charger. If your supply needs upgrading, that is level 1 and 2 work arranged through accredited partners.
It can. Bushfire-prone land has building rules that may affect new external work, so we plan locations and materials with that in mind and can work alongside your builder or certifier.
